Maryam Musa, 27, a female robber, has been sentenced six months in prison after she pleaded guilty as charged by the police by a Bauchi Chief Magistrate’s Court.
The mother of two was a member of a motorcycle snatching syndicate smashed by the state police command last week.
She paraded by the police on Monday at the state police command headquarters in Bauchi State before before being charged to court.
Maryam told journalists while being paraded that she was a widow and innocent of the crime. She arraigned at the Chief Magistrate’s Court VI in Bauchi alongside other members of the syndicate on charges, ranging from criminal conspiracy and theft of five motorcycles and receiving stolen property to being in possession stolen property.
