Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Acthas given rise to a new ministry known as theChurch of Cannabis.
Bill Levin, the founder of the First Church of Cannabis says all the members do, is to smoke marijuana in service.
He told News and Tribune that the IRS-Internal Revenue Service has granted his church a tax exempt status.
In the interview with News and Tribune, he said"It means people in higher tax brackets will be more generous with the church.”
Adding that ‘There have been people who want us to succeed but they've been waiting on our 501c3 exemption.’
When he was asked about his Church service, he said ‘We start off the show soft and we have a build-up and then in the end we explode in glory and we all dance around the hall.’
The best part of the service, they say, is the call to worship, a time for members to smoke.
