BIG BUCKS FOR ZULU KING!

ZULU King Goodwill Zwelithini’s who was accused of started the xenophobia attacks on foreigners , his household budget has been hiked to R57,6 million a year. That’s an increase of over R3 million in this year’s budget vote of KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu. This comes after the royal household ran out of money last year.

The department of the royal household was dissolved, and the premier’s office is now responsible for providing funds for the Royal Household Trust.
Mchunu said: “These funds include the remuneration of staff, board members, and the queens’ expenses, including tuition fees, transportation and medical expenses for the royal family, as well as the royal farming activities.
“The support provided in 2014/15 was to enable the Royal Household Trust to render administrative support pertaining to the activities of his majesty, the activities of the queens, remuneration (salaries, allowances and benefits),” said Mchunu.
He said the public entity, the Royal Household Trust, received a transfer from the former department of the royal household trust. This was transferred to the premier’s office from 1 April. Mchunu tabled the R743 213-million premier’s office 2015/16 budget in the provincial legislature yesterday.
) The IFP’s Blessed Gwala said the premier’s office nominated people who knew nothing about managing royal household matters and left out amakhosi.
“We are still disappointed about the royal household being put under the office of the premier,” he said.
