Kasper Schmeichel: Leicester City goalkeeper makes Premier League history with legendary dad

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has made history with his dad and Denmark legend Peter by becoming only the father and son to win Premier League.

Schemeichel is now a Premier League winner with Leicester following Tottenham-their closest challenger- 2-2 draw away atChelsea on Monday, May 2.

The Foxes are seven points ahead of Tottenham with just two games to making them 2016 champions.
Coincidently, the Schmeichels won their first league titles - both aged 29, on the same bank holiday Monday, 23-years apart.

The first father and son to win the Premier League are Arsenalforward Ian Wright-who won in 1998- and former Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips-who won in 2006.

Proud of his boy’s achievement,  Peter has changed his Twitter bio to read 'Father to a Premier League winner.'
