Super Eagles skipper forced captaincy from Ahmed Musa

New skipper of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, John Obi Mikelforced the captaincy from Ahmed Musa according to a new report.

Musa was named captain by former coach of the Super Eagles,Sunday Oliseh in place of former goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama.

In a press conference on Wednesday, March 23 ahead of the2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt, it was announced that Mikel is the new captain.
African football is now reporting that Mikel Obi insisted he will only feature in the AFCON qualifiers against Egypt if he was made Super Eagles captain.

Mikel made it very clear to Siasia he be made captain if the coach wanted him to play the crucial matches against Egypt,” the report quotes a source as saying.
According to the report, Siasia then held a 40-minute long meeting where he convinced Musa to give up the captaincy.
