Ifeanyi Ubah doles out N.5m to complete primary school building
Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Limited, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, yesterday splashed half a million to St Charles Obiofia Community Primary School, Nnewichi-Nnewi, Anambra state to complete its building project.

The occasion was the school’s annual inter-house sports competition and fund raising ceremony towards completing the school building and other projects.
Chief Ubah who was represented on the occasion by the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nnewi North, Engr. Maduka Okoye, assured the school of his continued support for education, which he described as the key to success.
He pointed out that education may be expensive but that the cost of ignorance is higher noting that with solid educational background, there is opportunity to attain higher heights.
He also reminded the parents and the pupils of the school that education remains a life-long investment.
In her welcome address, the Head Teacher of the school, Mrs. Benedette Ugogor, disclosed that under her watch, the school has recorded some landmark achievements which she attributed to the collective efforts of all the teaching and non-teaching staff.
She however listed some other challenges, including the decked uncompleted building which leaks from the concrete roof during the rains, and the need for more classrooms for increasing population of pupils.
Mrs Ugogor noted that all the highlighted problems would be solved by the early completion of the school building most especially as the rainy season is gradually setting in.
The Head Teacher thanked the eminent and public spirited individuals who have contributed to the school in the past.
Most Rev Hillary Okeke of the Nnewi Diocese of Nnewi Catholic Diocese which owns the school, thanked Chief Ubah for his donation to the school and other projects of the church.
