Jim Nwobodo: Former governor quits Anglican church, reweds in Catholic church

Former governor of old Anambra State, Chief Jim Nwobodo and wife, Patricia, have reportedly had another wedding in a Catholic church, after denouncing their membership of an Anglican church.

Vanguard reports that the couple received fresh sacrament of holy matrimony having abandoned the Anglican Church for Roman Catholic Church.
Most Rev. Dr. Calistus Onaga, Bishop of Enugu Diocese, was in charge of administering the holy sacrament at the occasion.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and his wife, Monica, were sponsors of the couple in the marriage in fulfillment of requirements demanded by the Catholic Church. The marriage took place at the Bishops’ Court,  Enugu.

In a sermon, Rev. Fr. Peter Damian Akpunonu recalled the past cordial relationship between Chief Jim Nwobodo and the Catholic Church, especially when he was the governor of old Anambra State.
