PREACHER GIVES HIS LAST SERMON.

DEATH has taken the bus preacher known only as Pastor Ndlela who hit the headlines last year when he choked a woman for allegedly taking his Bible.

A car ran him over in the CBD of Mbombela, Mpumalanga, after his final sermon on a Buscor bus on Friday.

One of his followers, Thembi Ndlala, joined passengers in mourning the preacher in song while travelling to work from Malalane to Mbombela yesterday morning.

“He was knocked down and sent to a state mortuary because no one knew him here in Mbombela,” said Thembi.

“Ndlela was a good preacher, although he drank liquor before preaching.

“We couldn’t judge him as he was doing the work of God and making us laugh. We are going to collect an offering for him. We want to give him a big send-off. That’s how he would have wanted it to happen,” said Thembi.

Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said: “We have opened a culpable homicide case against the driver.”

Ndlela will be buried in Malalane on Saturday. – AENS
