MY DRUG ADDICTED SON WAS BOUND TO DIE!

LIKE so many other mothers, drug addict Quinton Brown’s mum always told him to stay away from drugs.
But he never listened . . .
So when his Nigerian drug dealer on Monday night offered Quinton and his addict friend a new drug called butterscotch, they couldn’t resist.
It turned out to be Quinton’s last action.
His mum Germaine (53) from Rosettenville, Joburg said she was at peace that her son was dead.
But what broke her heart was that her son’s body lay in the street for almost 16 hours before mortuary workers collected it.
She told Daily Sun that Quinton (23) died, but his friend survived.
“I knew he would die sooner or later because he wouldn’t listen when I told him to stop using drugs.”
Germaine said it was about 8pm on Sunday and she had already gone to bed when she heard someone knocking on her front door. When she finally got up and went to the door, there was no one and she went back to sleep.
She only learnt on Monday morning from her son’s friend that he had knocked at the door to tell her the sad news.
“My son spent the night and part of the day lying there as the police failed to pitch up.”
Booysens’ police said an inquest docket was opened and that the cause of the death was still to be established.
