These days, we have very busy lifestyles and hectic schedules. However, this should not prevent you from napping as the health benefits are awesome. A short nap is usually recommended (20-30 minutes) for short-term alertness.
More reasons and health benefits of napping include:
- Prevents heart disease- According to The Washington Post, a study of 23,000 Greek adults found that people who took midday naps -- a.k.a. "siestas" -- were over thirty percent less likely to die of heart disease.
- Improves creativity- Psychiatrist Sara Mednick of the University of California, San Diego, conducted a study and the result was that people who take naps are more creative and imaginative than those who do not.
- Boosts memory.
- Lowers your blood pressure.
- Makes you patient and able to deal with high tension situations.
