Where You Belong 27-yr-old trader gets 21 years in prison for raping 6 yr-old girl.

A 27-year-old Lagos trader, Chidi Ibiam, has been sentenced to 21 years imprisonment for raping a six-year-old girl.
The convict who was arrested on December 15, 2012, was handed down the jail term by Justice Sedoten Ogunsanya of the Ikeja High Court, after he was found guilty of the defilement, a crime he allegedly committed at his residence in the Baruwa area of the state.
The prosecution led by a state counsel, Adebayo Haroun, told the court that Ibiam, who is a family friend of the victim and their church member, was caught after the victim reported the assault to her mother.
The young victim, now nine-years-old, gave evidence in court and said that the defendant had unlawful carnal knowledge of her on 12 occasions in his shop and in a neighbour’s house.
She said:
"He used to give me garri and money; then he would ask me to sit on his laps before he would start touching me, and putting his 'tom-tom' inside my 'bombom."
While handing down the sentence, Justice Ogunsanya said:
"I have noted before me all the relevant facts of this case; the defendant is hereby found guilty of the crime of defilement and is sentenced to 21 years in prison."
