RISING SOCCER STAR STABBED TO DEATH!

ALL the local soccer clubs were after Moleki Lamola (26) – but death got him instead.

His body was found last Wednesday morning. He had been stabbed about 10 times.
It appears the brave man was killed when he tried to stop an argument between his friend and five young men. It is said that after the killing the alleged culprits went around boasting that they had killed a dog.
It was an emotional farewell to the soccer player on Sunday as his body was taken from his house in Temba, Hammans-kraal, to a cemetery north of Pretoria.
Speaking about Moleki, his teammates at Garona Football Club said he was excited about their Vodacom league match scheduled for next Saturday. He thought he had a good chance to be playing for Platinum Stars soon.
Garona director City Lefatlhe said: “We lost a soldier and a great striker.”
Moleki played 300 games and scored 200 goals. His friend Katlego Bali said all the local clubs were eager to recruit him.
“He was also a loving father,” said Katlego.
Mawethu Maifali, organiser of the Moripe Goodwill Tournament, said: “He was the man of match at the tournament.”
His grieving mother could not talk to Daily Sun but a neighbour, known as Bra Lance, said: “We did not know we had greatness among us.”
Constable Herman Moremi said four suspects aged between 19 and 21 were arrested. A 16-year-old boy has been released.
