COP CAR KILLS FOUR-YEAR-OLD GIRL!

WITNESSES said the little girl was standing at the side of the road. Cops said she was crossing the road. But whether she was walking across the road or not, the four-year-old girl died after being run over by an Ekurhuleni Metro Police cop car on Thursday.
Central Mokoena (25) said he was on his way to the Chris Hani Mall when he saw the car.
“The officer jumped the stop sign and hit the child standing next to the pavement at the side of the road,” he said.
“I still heard the child crying as she was dragged under the car.”
“I was still wondering if the child would be okay when the car struck me too,” he said. He was then taken to hospital where he was treated for bruised hips and broken ribs. He was discharged later.
“I keep seeing the picture of her horror death in my mind.
“It was so sad how the little girl died,” he said.
“If the cop had stopped at the stop sign this would never have happened.”
He said the cop should be brought to book. “He must pay for changing my life for the worse and for killing the little girl,” Central said.
The dead girl’s mum told Daily Sun she was not ready to talk to the paper and did not want her child to be named.
“It’s hard to accept her death,” she said.
Ekurhuleni Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago said the officer was rushing to a crime scene when he lost control and hit the girl who was crossing the road. Kgasago said the vehicle hit a fence before hitting another pedestrian.
Vosloorus police spokesman Sergeant Rufus Tema said a case of culpable homicide was opened at the station.
He said no one has been arrested and police are investigating.
