He was soon left embarrassed after the naked man turned out to be his daughter's boyfriend who had clearly snuck into the house and spent the night without him knowing.
According to police, the drama unfolded at around 3 a.m. at a home on Silver Avenue SE, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Officers said the man contacted them to report a naked male home intruder, Fox 17 reports.
However, after the mishap unraveled, police decided no crime had been committed and left the family to deal with their embarrassing wake up call by themselves.
No further information has been released about the man, his daughter, or the stark naked man.
