HUSBAND HANDS HIMSELF OVER AFTER MURDER!

AS DETECTIVES took the man to the shack where it’s alleged he killed his wife, her sisters wept.Yesterday they were looking for the protection order the murdered woman had against him.
The 36-year-old woman was killed on Sunday afternoon.
Her sister said the husband called later and said he was going to kill himself at his shack in Marikana squatter camp in Airport Valley in Walmer, Port Elizabeth. The man then apparently handed himself over to the cops.
The sister told the SunTeam: “My sister was in an abusive marriage. She was a lead singer at church but her husband forced her to quit because of jealousy. In April her husband broke her ribs and arm. He threw the couch on her and choked her. She applied for a protection order. On 3 May a meeting was organised, but the husband’s family did not honour it.
“My sister told her husband it was over between them. But the husband told her that would never happen,” she said.
A neighbour said: “She was a beautiful woman with a jealous husband. We asked her why she didn’t leave him, but she said she loved him too much. She was born again.”
Another neighbour said the wife told her last week she was leaving her husband.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg told Daily Sun: “On Sunday at 3pm a woman was found dead in her shack after allegedly being killed by her husband.
The suspect handed himself over. We think she was strangled.”
