‘BAD THINGS HAPPEN WHILE WE PRAY.

ALL hell broke loose at the African Gospel Church last Saturday night when the pastor’s car was stolen . . . from the church premises!

Pastor Johnas Mavundla (56) was too upset to continue with the service at the church in Esikhawini, northern KZN after he discovered that his Toyota Corolla had been swiped.
Pastor Mavundla is the father of Shadrack Mavundla, the lead singer of the popular gospel group Isethembiso.
A church member told Daily Sun: “We were singing, waiting for the pastor to start preaching after fetching something from his car.
“He came back shouting that it had been stolen!
“Everything stopped. We had to quickly sober up to the reality that church is not heaven . . . bad things happen while we pray.”
In a panic, everyone rushed out of the church to check if their own cars were safe.
Pastor Mavundla said: “I preach in every service at the church.
“But this time, I couldn’t preach knowing that my car had been stolen. I loved it so much, I almost cried.”
Now he’s desperate to get his car back.
His son, Shadrack said his dad was really hurting because of the loss of his car.
Major Thulani Zwane said a case of motor vehicle theft was being investigated by the Esikhawini cops but that no arrests have been made.
