Scotland: Church approves ordination of gay ministers.

Scotland church approves ordination of gay ministers.
This recent development in Scotland has generated a lot of controversy among the Christian community.
The church in Scotland voted on Saturday, during its kirk session to allow the ordination of gay clergy in relationships. 309 delegates voted in favour, while 183 voted against.
Members who are opposed to the decision say the move is against God's law citing that it will further divide the church.
The church of Scotland spokesperson, in an interview with the media said it "maintains a traditional view of marriage between a man and woman, but allows individual congregations to 'opt out' if they wish to appoint a minister or a deacon in a same sex civil partnership."
Delegates are also expected to vote later this week on whether to allow the ordination of gay ministers in same sex marriages.
