Germany: Catholic Church protects gay employees.

In a bid to make the Catholic Church more welcoming for gay, lesbian and divorced members, German priests have taken a stand to relax some stringent rules.
In a chat with Reuters, a representative of the German Catholic church told the news agency that 18 out of the 27 Roman Catholic dioceses in Germany voted in favour of relaxing the stringent morality clause in employee contracts.
Speaking to Reuters on the new development, Alois Glueck, a prominent Catholic church leader in Germany, said “The new rule opens the way for decisions that do justice to the situations people live in.”
Sources say this new development means that remarrying or being identified as a gay or lesbian member of the Catholic Church in Germany, is no longer a grounds for termination of employment from a job in any Catholic church institution.

When Jesus heard this, he told them, "Healthy people don't need a doctor--sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners." Mark 2:17
